 Hope everyone had a great spring break! Now we just need the snow to stop so spring can finally show up.

 Term 4 starts April 9 -let’s finish strong!

 Grads, make sure you’re paying attention to announcements about ticket sales and other important grad info. We will send email home when tickets are ready!

Returning Grade 12 applications are now open. Please fill out the Microsoft Form to express interest in returning next year for an additional year of high school. Meetings will occur in April with your Assistant Principal and Guidance Counsellor to discuss the application.

 Are you interested in a FREE deep-dive into a career area of choice with professionals in the field AND earn high school credits? Peruse the options at ‘CBE Unique Pathways” and see Ms Bechert to apply.

 Fall programs include: Healthcare Career Essentials, Applied Ecology, Intro to Veterinary Profession, and Building Trades! 

 Full year programs include Autobody, Carpentry, Heavy Equipment tech, Pipe Trades, Welding, RV Tech

 Apprenticeship 101

Apprenticeship 101 is a free course available from SAIT that "provides a complete overview of Alberta's apprenticeship system, guiding you through the pathways, requirements, and expectations of the apprenticeship journey." You can register for a free account and complete the online course at your own pace. Sign up here or talk with your guidance counsellor for more information. 

 SAIT Next Steps Night 

SAIT is hosting a Next Steps Night on Wednesday, April 22 from 6:00–7:30 PM. This is a great opportunity to learn more about what comes after high school, whether you are considering studying at SAIT, entering the workforce, or pursuing an apprenticeship.

During the session you will hear:

  • A SAIT Recruitment presentation about programs and post-secondary options
  • Information from Careers about internships and how to get started
  • A Q&A session to ask your questions

 Jack James Preschool

Jack James Preschool registration for September 2026 starts March 1st. Email Ms. Elia at amelia@cbe.ab.ca if you would like a registration form and additional information sent to you.  Please complete the form and return it to Ms. Elia along with your $25 non-refundable fee (can be paid CASH, Cheque, or Credit Card).

Alternatively, you are more than welcome to drop in for a tour of our preschool or schedule a specific time. We follow the high school bell schedule so visits must happen between 9:15 am and 3:00 pm Monday through Thursday, or 9:00-1:00 on Fridays.

 Sewing Club

Sewing Club is every Thursday after school - Term 4 Sewing Club will move to every Wednesday after school! It is always sew much fun! 

 Talent Show

The Annual Talent Show will take place in early June! If your child has a hidden talent they would like to share, we encourage them to participate. Students should watch for upcoming information about meeting and rehearsal times after Spring Break.

 Lost and Found

Please check the Lost and Found to see if any items belong to you. All items not reclaimed by April 10 will be donated to our Rebranded area.

 Calgary Junior Police Academy

Have you ever wondered what it's like to be a police officer? The Calgary Police Service Junior Police Academy gives youth aged 12 to 16 the opportunity to find out.

 Junior Police Academy runs three times a year.

The 2026 Junior Police Academy sessions are:

·         Sunday, April 5, to Friday, April 10, 2026

·         Sunday, July 12, to Friday, July 17, 2026

·         Sunday, Aug. 9, to Friday, Aug. 14, 2026

 Youth registered in the Junior Police Academy will get an immersive experience into the world of a Calgary police officer, covering various aspects of law enforcement, including:

·         HAWCS helicopters

·         K9

·         Mounted Unit

·         Crime Scene Unit

·         Tactical Team

·         Traffic Unit

·         and more.
