Cold mornings are upon us, but it is always a pleasure to see our students and their smiling—sometimes tired—faces as Ms. Paxton, Ms. Drake, and I greet them at the door each morning. As the Principal of Jack James, my wish is for all our students to have a memorable and successful school year as we finish 2024 and begin 2025.
Once again this year, our Jack James school community is supporting several JJ families during the holiday season with hampers. We would like to thank all our partner organizations, staff, and friends of Jack James for their generous donations to this year’s hampers. Thank you for supporting our school community.
As we continue to focus on our School Development Plan with the goals of “Student academic achievement will improve through the implementation of equitable assessment practices and a comprehensive continuum of supports” and “Students will experience an increased sense of belonging and connection,” I want to remind all our students of the importance of working hard and focusing on their studies when they come to school. Attendance is vital, and we encourage all students to complete their assignments, study for exams, and seek extra help from their teachers outside of class if needed. Be on time and prepared for each class, bringing the materials and supplies needed to succeed.
After the holiday break, all students will be encouraged to participate in our Outcome Achievement days to finish off the semester. In the new year, we want to continue encouraging students to engage in the many opportunities Jack James offers, including clubs, athletics, and various school activities. Be a valuable member of our school community—a community focused on sharing, giving, and supporting one another. Jack James is for all students, and your positive behavior is what makes our school a great place to learn.
