Dear Jack James Students and Families, 

That’s a wrap…It is hard to believe another exciting year has come to an end at Jack James. It is a time to look back as well as forward. Our students experienced many great learning opportunities and growth throughout this year. Students went on field trips experienced guest speakers, participated in clubs and numerous displays of athletic excellence in all our sports. Jack James students certainly proved to be some of the best students in the city of Calgary yet again. We are already looking forward to next year when students will be back in school and engaged in their learning. 

Congratulations to our Grade 12 students who will be moving on to the next part of their journey through life. I know this amazing group of young adults will be successful in every endeavour they choose to pursue into the future for many years to come. Thank you for everything Jack James Class of 2026. 

This year we will also be saying goodbye to some of our staff. I would like to say goodbye to Mr. Maclean who will be joining the staff of EP Scarlett High School, Ms. Grant who will be joining a completely different school division and an Outreach school in Okotoks, Mr. Sinclair will be joining the staff at Crescent Heights High School, Ms. Douville will be off to WD. Pratt Middle School, Mr. Depner will join Samuel W Shaw Middle School and Chef Sterling will be off to Queen Elizabeth High School.  Thank you all for your years of service to Jack James, our students and our school community.

Although saying goodbye is always hard, we do get to say WELCOME to a new Animation and Design teacher Ms. Andrusiak and New Chef Teacher Mr. Holt. Welcome to the Jack James Community.

On behalf of all staff at Jack James High School, I wish you and your family a wonderful, fun-filled summer vacation. We look forward with great anticipation to welcoming all of our students to a brand-new school year starting August 31, 2026.
