Two CBE High School Students Recognized at Urban Society for Aboriginal Youth Changemaker Awards
Two students from Jack James and Forest Lawn High Schools, Sam R and Angel DC, received recognition at the Urban Society for Aboriginal Youth (USAY) Changemaker Awards on November 17. USAY aims to support Indigenous youth residing in Calgary.
The ceremony was held to acknowledge and appreciate the contributions made by Indigenous peoples in Treaty 7 Territory, which have had a positive impact on the community. Sam and Angel were awarded for their leadership, advocacy, and dedication towards bringing about positive change in their community. They were accompanied by eight other community ‘Changemakers’ who have shown support for Indigenous youth in Calgary.
Their leadership and commitment to their community serve as an inspiration to others, and we applaud their achievement. Congratulations to Sam and Angel for this outstanding accomplishment!
